Calling passionate, caring teachers!

 

We need help to build teaching resources for a website for Behrouz Boochani’s award-winning book, No Friend But The Mountains.

 

It will be used as an educational resource for mostly high school and university students. 

​

We are looking for any contribution possible, even if it’s one lesson plan on one chapter!

​

We will be working with Academics for Refugees and the esteemed Omid Tofighian who translated and worked with Behrouz on his book.

​

NB. The teacher who built the Teachers 4 Refugees NSW website was accredited for 15 hours as Self-Identified Professional Development hours towards her Maintenance Accreditation.

Teachers 4 Refugees NSW aims to:

1) ADVOCATE for the rights of refugees and asylum seekers in Australia and the greater international community,

​

2) PROVIDE INFORMATION and support for teachers to help  refugee and asylum seeker children in the classroom, and

​

3) PROVIDE RESOURCES to build understanding in the greater community about the experiences of refugees and asylum seekers.
